Upcoming Events

I just wanted to give an update on upcoming events.

For September, it will be the standard breakfast at Brier Creek on September 5th.

On October 3rd, the Triangle Italians will be driving to The Winery at Iron Gate in Mebane; http://www.irongatevineyards.com

The plan is meet @ Brier Creek in the morning at our regular time (9AM) and then leave for Mebane around 10AM.

Greg Owens will need a final head count and meal selections by 9/15/09

The cost will be $12.30 per person and is served with a sandwich (selections below) and includes tea or lemonade and a caesar salad.

- Roasted chicken, pepers & mushrooms on scratch-made olive bread
- Salmon BLT on scratch made white bread
- Turkey Club (includes ham & bacon) on club bread
- Vegetarian eggplant & ricotta Panini on scratch-made Italian hard rolls

We are working on a scenic driving route from Brier Creek to Mebane.

Greg will be collecting reservations and meal selections at our August and September Triangle Italians gatherings. You can also email your meal selection to TriangleItalians@gmail.com.

Saturday, March 7th Breakfast

Triangle Italians will be gathering for breakfast on Saturday, March 7th at 9 AM. Our friends at Apex Vintage are planning to bring over a few classic Italian sports cars, so make sure to make some room in your schedule to come out and grab a cup of coffee and enjoy some awesome automobiles and motorcycles.

One other note; Triangle Italians, in conjunction with our friends at Lotus of Durham, are working on a new site. Once site development is done, we'll move over to the new site and there will be a whole new look with much added functionality. Thanks for your continued support.

Final Details on Pinehurst Gathering

On Saturday, January 10th we are organizing our 2nd Annual January Drive to Pinehurst. Last year was a huge success with Ferrari owners driving in from Raleigh/Durham, Charlotte, Winston Salem, and other points in-between.

We'll be meeting at the Pinehurst Country Club around 10-10:30 and have lunch at the Donald Ross Grill around 11:30. After lunch, our plan is to head over to Sports Leicht (http://www.sportsleicht.com) to tour Bjorn Nordemo’s famed Mercedes Benz restoration shop. Bjorn always promises to have some interesting projects underway!

Please RSVP no later than January 3rd to either this thread or 'triangleitalians@gmail.com' if you plan to attend. I need to give the Pinehurst staff a count so they can accommodate us along with the regular golfers.

For those in the Raleigh area, we’ll be gathering at the Porsche/Jaguar/Audi dealership in the Cary Auto Park at 8:30 AM and then caravan to Pinehurst from there. We’ll depart from the Auto Park around 9:00AM.

Here’s a link to last years’ gathering:

Look forward to seeing everyone in Pinehurst!
